CERN welcomes experienced professionals who are passionate about developing others and raising the standard of emergency response across the region. However, becoming a trainer or contributor isn’t automatic — we follow a rigorous onboarding process to ensure only qualified, committed individuals represent CERN in the field or classroom.

Trainer Onboarding Process Includes:

Application & Credential Review: Submit your professional qualifications, experience, and references.
Competency Assessment: Your skills are evaluated through written tests, practical demonstrations, or scenario-based exercises.
Mentored Sessions: You’ll co-facilitate training under supervision from a certified CERN instructor.
Performance Review: Trainers are evaluated on delivery, technical accuracy, professionalism, and participant engagement.
Final Approval: Once reviewed and approved, you’ll be certified as a CERN trainer in your field of expertise.

Contributor Verification:
If you’re contributing in a non-trainer capacity (research, advisory, deployments, etc.), you’ll still go through a structured verification process during onboarding. This helps validate your capabilities and align your contributions with CERN’s mission and values.

This process ensures that CERN maintains the highest standard of quality and credibility, both regionally and internationally, while empowering professionals to lead with confidence and integrity.
